WI School Funding Still a Major Concern for Area Districts


State Superintendent Tony Evers is calling on the Wisconsin Legislature to do its part to help fund public schools. During his State of Education address, Evers pointed to 80 percent of school districts approving referenda as a reason to increase public aid instead of decreasing it. It would be good news to Superintendent Steve Cromell and Sevastopol School District, who along with other school districts in Door and Kewaunee Counties get almost no general state aid due to current funding formulas.
