Oklahoma Tops National List for Decline in K-12 School Funding


The news for public education here in Oklahoma continues to worsen, according to a new report out today from the Center on Budget & Policy Priorities.

Oklahoma tops a national list when it comes to decreases in general funding per student when compared to 2008, when the country was in its last recession.

Oklahoma’s public investments per student in K-12 schooling this year is 26.9 percent below 2008 levels.
